5 Little Rituals That Made Pregnancy Calmer

Camilla Reyes

Pregnancy is one of the most magical but overwhelming journeys I’ve ever experienced—especially carrying Luna. Between the physical changes and emotional ups and downs, I quickly realized I needed small, grounding rituals to help me feel more connected, calm, and present every day.

Here are five little rituals that made a big difference for me during pregnancy—and I hope they inspire you to create your own moments of calm too.

1. Morning Stretch & Breathe
Every morning, before checking my phone, I’d spend five minutes stretching in bed and taking deep breaths. This tiny ritual helped me connect with Luna, thank my body, and ease any stiffness. It’s amazing how a simple breath can set the tone for the day.

2. Evening Herbal Tea Time
At night, I swapped scrolling for sipping. A warm cup of pregnancy-safe herbal tea (like chamomile or ginger) became my cue to slow down and unwind. Sometimes I’d light a candle, sometimes I’d just sit in silence and talk to Luna in my mind.

3. Belly Balm Self-Massage
Applying belly balm wasn’t just about avoiding stretch marks—it became a self-love moment. Every night, I’d gently massage my belly and talk to Luna, imagining her listening. It turned a simple skincare step into a bonding ritual I now cherish.

4. Weekly Journal Check-In
Once a week, I’d write down how I was feeling—physically and emotionally. This helped me track changes and release worries. I also wrote little letters to Luna, and I know I’ll treasure these notes forever.

5. Walks in Nature
When I felt overwhelmed, a slow walk outside worked wonders. Hearing the birds, feeling the sun, and imagining Luna discovering the world one day brought me so much peace.

Each of these rituals was simple but powerful, reminding me to slow down and savor the beautiful moments of growing Luna.

I’ll soon share some of my favorite products that made these rituals even more special—like my go-to belly balm, favorite teas, and simple journaling tools. If you’d like to get these recommendations and more cozy ideas for your own journey, subscribe to my newsletter here. 💛
